Overview:
This full time position is designed to provide comprehensive desktop and help desk support across the organization for a period of a minimum of six months, with the potential for a permanent role based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop and Help Desk Support: Serve as the primary IT help desk contact for approximately 200 users, including remote employees. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
Workstation and Laptop Configuration: Image and deploy PC and Mac hardware, configure new workstations, and fix broken systems.
System Administration: Perform backup duties for junior-level system administration tasks such as Active Directory, M365, and some server administration.
Ticketing System Management: Monitor, resolve, or escalate help desk tickets using JIRA Service Desk as well as within our 3rd party Security Vendor ticketing system.
Software and Patch Management: Build, configure, update, and deploy software package sand desktop system patches using MS Endpoint Manager (formerly SCCM) and WSUS.
Policy and Procedure Support: Support the company’s IT policies and procedures, including audit responsibilities and documentation of service issues.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years in a technical administration role, with at least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows Servers (2008-2019), Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic administration of VMware. Knowledge of scripting technologies such as PowerShell is a plus.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, MCP, MCSA are a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 40 lbs. as needed to move PC equipment.
Experience with JIRA/Confluence and MS 365 is a plus.
This position does require in Office support as well as remote support.
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and have unrestricted work authorization
to work in the United States.
