Styline Door and Window Systems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be a vital part of our procurement process, ensuring that we acquire the necessary materials and supplies efficiently to support our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with all employees and our inventory specialist to manage and optimize the purchasing process.
- Work with Inventory manager to Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and reorder points.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and terms.
- Place purchase orders for materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders and invoices.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control initiatives related to purchasing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Knowledge of construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
