Attention dog lovers We are in desperate need of loving fosters to open their homes to rescue dogs in need.
Tabitha is a spayed 1.5 year old boxer mix we are rescuing from a high kill los angeles shelter! We can only do that with your help Please consider opening your home to Tabitha or a dog in need like Dozer, Chief, Tiger, Raffi, Penny who are needing homes before the end of the month!
Ace of Hearts is a Non-Profit Dog Rescue based in Los Angeles that saves dogs from the shelters, giving them a new chance at life!
We need loving Fosters to provide temporary homes for rescued dogs while we seek their "Furever" homes. Since we rescue from shelters, some dogs may be traumatized so we need people who will make them feel secure, comfortable and confident. It's incredibly gratifying when these shy & fearful dogs gain your trust. And it's just as gratifying to receive unconditional love from confident dogs. You will provide loving care & updates on their personalities and we will provide everything else (a bed, food, treats, toys, supplies & vet care).
WE ARE IN NEED OF FOSTERS WITH DOG EXPERIENCE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH LARGE BREEDS.
Stipends are available for fostering if you are unable to volunteer. We offer $300 per month for dog-friendly dogs and $400 per month for dogs that prefer to be the only pet.
Becoming a part of our foster program is an incredibly rewarding experience – you get to help rehabilitate dogs that were left to die at the shelter, giving them a second chance at adoption. Our fosters are true heroes!
What we require from you:
Be 21 years or older (or have parental approval if under 21)
Commit to fostering until the dog is adopted, or at least 2-4 weeks if you cannot make that commitment
Have reliable transportation to bring them to our adoption event in West Hollywood once a month and to a vet of our choice
Be comfortable with large breeds! We primarily rescue bully breeds, and most of our pups weigh between 50-90 pounds. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN ONLY FOSTER SMALL DOGS.
Have NO CHILDREN UNDER 10 OR CATS in your home (please do not apply if you have children or cats, but other dogs are okay!)
Be able to start fostering immediately
Have already discussed fostering with all landlords, managers, spouses, etc., and have their approval. Please do not apply if you have not done so.
