Hourly Rate: $17.50 hour
Hours per week: Part-time evenings and weekends 6 a day hours, 5 days a week Schedule to be determined
Your duties will include the following:
Supervise all guests to ensure their comfort and safety, meeting their needs when possible
Be the first point of contact for guests, new guests, and visitors
Support the activities of case managers
Manage the intake process and reporting as needed
Work with guests to meet reasonable, basic needs
Supervise onsite laundry and shower programs
Work with General Manager to insure adequate supplies are on hand and equipment is in good working order
Work with social workers, probation and other case managers for the benefit of residents.
Transport, or arrange for transportation as necessary, for guests to various appointments
Attend industry meetings as required
Oversee the annual Homeless Count
Utilize the HMIS system
Administer discipline as needed to guests.
Assist in Developing and In-House Rule Book for guests - Do’s and Don’ts
Assist in developing tasks and chores assignments for guests.
Monitor locker activities
Assess supplies and have materials ready for new guests including towers, linens, personal supplies
Other duties as may be assigned
Job Requirements:
Have a valid California Driver’s License,
Food Safety Handling Certificate
Be able to administer Narcan, drug and alcohol tests
Avoid office/shelter gossip
Participate in CPR training class
Participate in AED training and use of the equipment (automated external defibrillator)
Be prepared to make a good 911 call
Be prepared to aid and assist during a shelter emergency
Meet with SPIRIT director weekly or as needed
Review Office Procedure Manual and be familiar with policies
