Fosters Needed for Dogs TODAY! Love a Dog and Save a Life

California, Ventura county, 93001 Ventura county USA

We urgently need fosters to care for several dogs who have nowhere else to go. Without fosters, their lives are at risk. By fostering, you are truly saving lives—it’s a meaningful way to make an immediate impact.

What We’re Looking For:

- Reliable transportation for vet visits and mandatory Saturday adoption events every other week in West Hollywood.

- Large-breed dog experience and comfort working with dogs who may need patience to decompress.

- Dog-free or pet-free homes (for specific cases).

- Commitment: We prefer fosters who can keep the dogs until they are adopted, but any amount of time is a tremendous help.

- Age: Must be 21+ or have parental approval.

Meet the Dogs Who Urgently Need Fosters:

1. Ruby & Lucy (October 19-28)

Ruby and Lucy are bonded shepherd/sharpei mixes who thrive together but need to be the only pets in the home. They are not dog-friendly and require careful introductions with strangers. Ruby and Lucy are protective of their home but show loyalty and affection to the people they trust.

They are housetrained, in good health, and an ideal match for someone who appreciates loyal companions. Their foster must understand their protective instincts and offer them a calm, secure environment during their short stay.

2. Bruno (Starting October 18)

Meet Bruno, a sweet senior American Bulldog/Pointer mix searching for comfort and stability after his world was turned upside down. He was adopted from Ace of Hearts years ago, but due to his adopters’ recent divorce, Bruno needs a new home for his golden years.

Bruno has some creaky joints, as many seniors do, but his heart is full of love. His favorite thing? Curling up beside you for a lazy day on the couch. Bruno must be the only pet—he’s not a fan of other animals, but that means you’ll get all his attention!

If you have a quiet home and a soft spot for seniors, Bruno would love nothing more than to be your devoted companion. Ideally, we’re looking for a foster who can keep him until adoption, but any time you can offer will make a difference.

3. Dolly, Shania & Garth (Starting October 18)

This adorable trio consists of Dolly, a mama English bulldog, and her two 8-week-old puppies, Shania and Garth. The puppies are still nursing but starting to wean onto solid food. We need a foster home for all three, as the pups still rely on Dolly for care.

Dolly is a sweet, attentive mama who loves people, learns quickly, and is housetrained. However, she cannot be in a home with other dogs or cats. On walks, Dolly can be reactive toward other dogs, so she’ll need to be kept away from them. The puppies are playful, cuddly, and full of love.

We are ideally looking for a foster who can care for them until they are adopted, but even a short-term commitment would help as they transition from their shelter experience.

Ready to Save Lives?

If you can foster any of these dogs, please reach out with your name, phone number, and email address.

Together, we can give these dogs the second chance they deserve. Thank you for being part of the solution!
