Role Description
Job Title: Warehouseman
Department: Operations
Reports to: Shipping Manager
Pay Class: Hourly
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Man is primarily responsible for the daily oversight of all incoming deliveries and warehouse-related functions, including inventory and product distribution to the perspective departments.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Planned and directed daily and weekly activities of the receiving and warehouse departments.
Working with the Shipping and Bindery Department.
Acting as a key point of contact for all receiving-related matters between our bindery and shipping department.
Making sure that all inventory products are reconciled and accounted for.
Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all receiving and inventory-related documents.
Ensuring that all receiving-related documents are collected, accounted for, and correctly submitted to the appropriate receiver.
Communicating with the Shipping Manager and Purchasing department any discrepancies in the product received
All other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager
Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Qualified to operate a forklift and knowledge of operating a pallet jack, both manual and electric
Physical Qualifications:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the
ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear.
The employee must frequently use hands and fingers to handle, reach, feel, and manipulate objects or controls. The employee must
often sit or stand for long periods, walk distances, and stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch.
Work environment:
This role is an on-site position in a manufacturing setting. Most functions will require this person to be on-site at our main or satellite buildings. Some travel will be required for possible deliveries, training, seminars, conferences, trade shows, and equipment evaluations.
