Job Title: Demand Planner

Company: Fresh Produce Manufacturing Company

Location: Oxnard, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Weekends as needed)

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour

Job Title: Demand Scheduler

Department: 99 – Demand Planning

Reports To: Demand Planning Manager

Responsibilities:

Manages inventory levels by reviewing on-hand inventory, plant demand, and forecasts. Inventory levels should be managed to ensure high service levels to customers and minimal finished goods dumps.

Provides daily and weekly raw and condiment requirements to procurement department.

Manages scrap (i.e. raw dumps) to goal levels by working with other departments to prevent overstocking, improper rotation, or miscommunication related to raw product usage.

Manages the rejection process, ensuring disposition of rejected items within established guidelines.

Plans for the start-up of new items and discontinuance of items to minimize service impacts and obsolescence.

Develops and maintains the accuracy of planning parameters, Master Production Schedules, standards (line staffing and throughput, packaging equipment speeds, PPAH or UPM), yields, etc.

Develops daily production plans to ensure that finished goods are available for the warehouse to meet customer orders within proper timeframes.

Utilizes existing scheduling tools to develop daily production schedules based on sales forecast and actual orders.

Recommends system modifications to enhance planning effectiveness.

Develops demand planning process methodology resulting in customer service excellence and supply chain cost optimization.

Creates and maintains a rolling unit forecast at the SKU level and drives the forecast process for Fresh Prep.

Leads development and execution of communication and performance enhancements to demand planning processes and systems.

Develops, implements, and facilitates monthly Fresh Prep Sales & Operations Planning initiative.

Leverages strong leadership and collaboration skills to build relationships with sales, marketing, operations and executive management.

Assesses current environment, designs and implements changes associated with people, processes and technology, and manages the end state.

Protects the financial performance of Fresh Prep by identifying potential supply chain issues.

Provides technical and process expertise, guidance, and support to other team members.

Provides thought leadership to assemble vision for continuous improvement.

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

·B.S. degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent related experience

·Production/manufacturing supervision and/or purchasing/inventory management experience

·Able to use forecasting systems to develop strategic and tactical solutions

·APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification - Preferred

·Able to build consensus among team members

·Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

·Strong math and analytics skills

·Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects

·Bilingual – Spanish/English

·Flexible work schedule (weekdays and weekends, days and evenings)
