Mill Operator
General Requirements
This position requires evidence of successful completion of a machinist training program from an accredited trade school or five years of full-time experience running CNC mills and demonstrated ability to perform basic setups is required.
General Responsibilities
Responsibilities include managing the quantity and quality of your work. Must work closely with the QA Inspector to ensure that first articles are correct prior to production runs. Minimizing scrapped parts is of paramount importance. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
See that procedures are followed
- Recording of programs after job completion
- Following schedules provided
- Insure that in-process inspections are being done
- Provide technical assistance
- Advise on set-ups as needed
- Advise on in-process inspections and first articles
- Work closely with inspection department
- Inform Operations Manager if a machine goes down or needs professional service
