Cowdrey Jenkins, LLP, seeks an Intake Coordinator to join our team. We are a California statewide civil litigation firm that focuses on representing victims in elder abuse/wrongful death lawsuits involving nursing home, assisted living, or other long-term care or healthcare facilities. This position is based in our Camarillo/Ventura County office and is a full-time position. Part-time (five days a week with reduced hours) will be considered.
The Intake Coordinator is the first point of contact with potential new clients and works closely with the partners in the firm. Duties include:
· Contacting potential new clients who contact the firm for possible representation
· Retrieving pre-consultation information via phone while listening to the potential client’s concerns with empathy and compassion
· Evaluating the information obtained from each caller to determine whether the potential case meets the firm’s criteria for investigation, whether a referral to another firm should be made, or whether additional information is required to evaluate the potential case.
· Following up with potential new clients by phone, e-mail, and/or text messages
· Documenting each communication in the firm’s practice management software (Clio Grow)
· Assisting the firm’s attorneys and paralegals with obtaining medical records and discovery once the potential new client becomes a client of the firm
Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented and organized and will have excellent communication skills. Experience in customer service or sales and with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word and Outlook, is required. Experience with Clio and prior law office employment is not required but is a major advantage.
