Pindler has spent more than 77 years in business perfecting the art of fabric design and development. We are currently looking for new team members in our manufacturing and fabric cutting warehouse. Anyone may apply, as we do on the job training, but someone with an intermediate knowledge and understanding of textiles in relation to the process of laying out and cutting is a plus. The fabric cutter position requires some basic math skill, and ability to use various measuring tools and machines.
Main responsibility:
- Pulling fabric from stock
- Laying out fabric
- Measuring fabric
- Formatting cut lines on fabric
- Cutting fabric
- Tracking yardage cut for inventory control
- Restock fabric
Ability:
- Receive direction from Managers/peers alike, and deliver
- Work on their feet all day
- Pull, push, and carry up to 50lbs on their own
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others
- Complete tasks in a timely manner
- Read and write in English
Tools to be used:
- Ruler, yard stick, measuring tape, and/or square
- Industrial cutting machines
- Rolling carts
- Extension cords
