Office Description
We are a small single doctor office that prides itself on our relationships with our patients, many of whom have been with the practice for 10-20 years. We have a fantastic and healthy hygiene program that is booked months in advance. The schedule is 60 minute blocks for a total of 8 patients per day. Our day starts at 8 am and ends at 5 pm with a lunch from 1 pm until 2 pm. The area has many easy to access lunch spots or is great for a walk in the beautiful weather. We have a small staff that works together diligently to make the day as stress free as possible.
What we are looking for
We would like a personable hygienist who is great with patient relationships to continue growing the office's reputation in our community. As a small office, the hygienist will help with light sterilization, restocking and disinfection of the hygiene room. Each hygiene room has their own xray unit and hygienists are responsible for check up xrays (we try to avoid FMX on the RDH schedule).
Expectations
Perform comprehensive patient exams, including oral health evaluations, medical history reviews, and intraoral photos.
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Previous experience in a private dental office (2+ years preferred)
Open Dental and Carestream Imaging expierience a plus
