Job description
Talented, experienced medical assistant needed for our growing medical practice in Ventura . Position will assist in back and front office. medical assistant will provide support in both the back and front office on busy patient days.
Applicant must function at a high capacity in fast-paced environments, be able to prioritize tasks, and have great communication skills as well as be experienced in general back-office patient care. Applicant must be a self-starter who gives their best in whatever they do.
Duties will include:
Setting up for and assisting in procedures
Stocking rooms
Answering Phones
Obtaining Authorizations
Checking Insurance Benefits
Scheduling and Confirming Appointments
Describing Treatment Plans to Patients
Acting as a Liaison Between the Doctor and the Patient
Other Administrative Tasks
Minimum 1 year experience in a Medical Office is preferred, Experience with authorizations and administrative tasks is preferred but not required. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
