We have a successful massage practice specializing in Deep Tissue and Structural Bodywork in Santa Barbara, and have been voted “Best of Santa Barbara last four years in a row! We are seeking a responsible, professional and licensed Deep Tissue Massage therapist who is interested in being part of a successful team!
Our focus is helping clients with relief from both acute and chronic pain and maintaining optimum health. We have a great work environment, providing you with appointment bookings, and administrative support. Further education in Deep Tissue Massage and Orthopedic Massage is also available.
Openings are for part-time contractors to start, going to full-time as client load increases. A plus if you can work some weekends.
Candidates should possess the following:
- A strong working knowledge of anatomy and excellent palpation skills, the ability to identify tight tissue and potential trigger points. Any additional skills such as Myofascial Release, PNF stretching, or postural assessment is a plus!
- At least 1 year of experience with Deep Tissue techniques, and the ability to do both general Deep Tissue as well as very specific work on problem areas.
- The ability to work on common client issues, such as neck and low back pain, joint pain and range of motion restrictions, and to create a trusting relationship with clients.
- The ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Personal integrity and a good work ethic.
Additional Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized massage therapy school
- Possess a valid California State massage therapy license and a City of Santa Barbara business license
- Proof of liability massage insurance
