job title: Asst Canning Operator - Craft Beverage Packaging
The Assistant Canning Line Operator is responsible for working with Lead Canning Line Operator to get Boomhut clientele their alcoholic beverage into cans and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for canning, including loading pallets, handling of packaging materials, maintaining efficiency on packaging equipment
Operation of auxiliary equipment with adherence to a strict quality standard
Clean in place (CIP) of canning lines following proper standard operation procedures (SOP)
Preventative maintenance of canning equipment
Control the canning materials inventory and assist with truck inventory
Communication with supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient workplace
Coordination with fellow operators, offering assistance when needed
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and positive work environment
Apply best safety practices, including knowledge of and compliance with all SOPs and Good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Good communication skills are required.
Can perform basic math, with frequent problem solving
Must be personable and have a positive attitude.
Must be highly organized.
Mechanical know-how is preferred
Close attention to detail
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous brewery, commercial beverage production, or other industrial experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to continuously stand or walk
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
Occasionally required to lift 50+ pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motion functions in support of canning line operations
Temperatures within the brewery are extreme for long periods, and the work environment can be hot, cold, wet, and noisy
