Senior ETL Engineer (ON SITE IN VENTURA REQUIRED)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Engineer for a long term contract.  As a Senior ETL Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and timely delivery to support critical business decisions.Responsibilities:Design and Development:Design and develop robust ETL processes using industry-standard tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Python, SQL)Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specificationsDevelop complex data transformations, aggregations, and calculations to meet business needsOptimize ETL processes for performance and scalabilityData Quality and Validation:Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistencyMonitor ETL processes and troubleshoot issues promptlyPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future problemsData Modeling:Participate in data modeling activities, including dimensional and relational modelingUnderstand and adhere to data governance and security standardsTeam Leadership and Mentoring:Mentor junior ETL engineers and provide guidance on best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budgetPerformance Tuning:Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in ETL processesImplement performance optimization techniques to improve execution time and resource utilizationQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development and data warehousingStrong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.)Expertise in ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar)Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration techniquesExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plusExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills
