Simi Valley manufacturing company is seeking a Customer Account Manager to be responsible for activities related to the administration and day-to-day account management of external and internal customers.
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
$70,000-$75,000/year + 4.5% annual bonus
Responsibilities:
Prepare and present weekly/monthly Business sales/forecast reports monitoring Business internally and to Japan members.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer key stakeholders building trust and ensuring customer needs are met within contract parameters.
Attend customer meetings/conference calls and follow-up on action items to closure.
Liaise with Manufacturing, Operation and Finance departments to communicate and respond to customers’ requirements, queries and requests.
Monitor and track revenue attainment via direct interface with business development as well as major customer accounts.
Update, distribute and present weekly revenue tracking and forecast updates.
Coordinate business planning and forecast inputs (including: Fiscal year, mid period updates, longer range MTP).
Ensure forecasts are submitted as stipulated in customer agreement and ensure order submissions are consistent with forecast.
Track variance to forecast and obtain information from customers as to contributing factors/background related to variances.
Ensure contract adherence to pricing, terms, royalty reporting, etc.
Occasionally engage directly with customers on payment arrangements and/or shipment releases.
Establish strong, professional, friendly relationships with key customer stakeholders.
Interface as needed with Engineering, Business Development, Production and Operations to ensure customer concern and queries are identified and responded to in a timely manner.
Prepare reports on request capturing customer sales/pricing/royalty history.
Forecast and track key account metrics.
Assist with challenging customer requests, special projects and escalations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration or Sales
2+ years of experience in sales or account management
Knowledge of the concepts and principles of effective customer management
Proficient in MS Office
