Description Position: Data Engineer/Data ArchitectCompensation: $150,000-$180,000Location: Venice CA (Onsite Role)Job Description:Join a dynamic team, to shape our evolving data infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced Data Engineer/Architect aiming to transition into Data Science.Requirements Responsibilities:
Experience: 5+ years at the data engineer/architect level, with a desire to move into Data Science.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively in a lean team, taking on diverse responsibilities.
Education: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, with some familiarity in machine learning. Azure experience is a bonus.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines, Azure Data Warehouse, and Data Lake.
Industry Knowledge: Nice to have Private equity or hedge fund investment industry experience.
Additional:
Company Background: Undergoing substantial growth, actively building data infrastructure.
Current Infrastructure: Recently implemented SQL servers, focusing on building data warehouse and data lake.
Team Dynamics: Be an entrepreneurial contributor to the development of our cloud-based platform.
Data Management: Handle data from various sources, including licenses, internal applications, and point solution apps.
Future Developments: Anticipate involvement in deep learning over time.
Expectations: Comfortable with the understanding that historical data may not be readily available.
