Description:Independently plans purchase orders in synchronization with the customer requirements. Procures and monitors the flow of materials from the receipt of demand through the receipt of goods. Works with the planners and program management to ensure customer requirements, production schedules and milestones are met.Procures materials based on MRP requirements.Reviews and releases purchase orders to suppliers per the Approval Matrix.Reschedules open Purchase Orders to support changes in MRP demand. Coordinates with depts.Reviews Planner Workbench, Exceptions Messages, Past Due Po and reports changes to the planners.Proactively communicates foreseeable issues to next level Supervisor, planners and/or program management.Investigates and resolves issues related material shortages.Ability to analyze data and generate reports. Expert understanding of accountancy variances cost drivers.Advanced knowledge of ERP applications & systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve variances and other factors which may be producing inaccurate data.Maintains factors for MRP including but not limited to: Planner Code, Item Cost, lead-time, order multipliers and minimum order quantityParticipates in Clear to Build action boards (CTB) and actively engaging in and implementing solutions.Ability to lead continuous improvement teams/events related purchasing and planning.Solid understanding and ability to affect positive change using continuous improvement tools and techniques such as but not limited to: kanban, kaizen, one-piece flow, value stream mapping, integrated product teams, theory of constraints, 6S, RCCA, Lean, and inventory reductionCoordinates changes in demand to the planners and program management.Skills:Purchasing, Purchase order, Supply chain, Procurement, MRP, Erp, Buyer purchasing, NegotiationTop Skills Details:Purchasing,Purchase order,Supply chain,Procurement,MRPExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aston Carter: Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
