If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.The Laboratory Technical Specialist performs procedures to monitor the performance and reporting of laboratory tests.What you’ll be doing:
Develops and maintains the local laboratory Quality Control Program and database.
Implements analytical methods and provision of technical information to relevant parties.
Supports the Technical Services team in audits/inspections from regulatory agencies.
Participates in conducting education through self-study, attending training sessions, and meetings.
Acts as Technical SME to lab IT/system teams.
Supports process improvement initiatives for medium size projects.
May lead projects and assist with implementation.
Analyzes safety trends.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences or another relevant field
1+ year of experience in a clinical, research, academic or commercial/production laboratory environment
Knowledge of relevant regulatory agency standards
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed for this role:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., frequent standing/walking; occasional sitting; close eye work (computers).
Knowledge of laboratory equipment, clinical laboratory assays quality control/validation procedures.
Strong attention to detail & accuracy; effective communication/presentation skills; ability to work independently/team environment.
