Job DescriptionKey Job ResponsibilitiesThe Infection Preventionist II demonstrates knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) through certification and applies knowledge and experience to guide practice while learning more advanced concepts. The IP II is responsible for leading the identification, investigation, monitoring, evaluating and reporting healthcare-associated infections. Additionally, they lead efforts in collaborating with stakeholders to develop, implementing and sustaining effective infection prevention and control strategies through education and quality improvement initiatives.QualificationsEducational Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field required.Licenses:Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required at time of hireExperience:2 years experience in infection prevention or epidemiology in an acute care, ambulatory or other healthcare setting required.5 years experience in Clinical experience in nursing, public health, epidemiology, or other healthcare-related field required.Physical Demands:Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting 50 lbs.
