Description Robert Half's green technology client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to our vendors while maintaining strong relationships. Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions and documentation.

Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and credit card transactions.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Collaborate with other departments to address billing inquiries and provide financial support.

Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.

Generate reports related to accounts payable and analyze data to identify trends.

Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency in the AP function.

Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing any inquiries or issues professionally.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
