NBCUniversal seeks a Senior Counsel, Employment Law to provide strategic and practical legal counsel for Universal Destinations & Experiences across multiple jurisdictions.Responsibilities: Provide employment law advice and counsel to human resources, management, business affairs and other internal lawyers across the company on a variety of employment-related matters in connection with new business ventures and ongoing operations, including but not limited to employment policy development and application, workforce management, recruiting & hiring, accommodations, leaves of absence, discrimination, harassment & retaliation, and wage-and-hour issuesProvide strategic legal oversight of UDX-wide programs and projects to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations while promoting consistency, efficiency and risk managementLead and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive project management efforts, ensuring the timely and strategic implementation of employment-related processesProvide advice and counsel on internal investigations of employment-related and other types of complaints, ensuring that claims are promptly and thoroughly investigated and documented appropriatelyRepresent the Company in the handling of all aspects of the pre-litigation process, including conducting internal investigations, drafting responses to federal and state agency charges of discrimination, and participating in mediation and drafting statements and settlement agreements accordinglyPartner with Labor Relations on various matters involving represented employeesMonitor federal, state and local legal developments and advise on compliance with applicable lawsCreate and deliver management and employee training programs
