The Contracts Specialist, Music Business & Legal Affairs will support the VP, Music Business & Legal Affairs and other attorneys, as well as licensing, publishing and creative staff in the department. The position may be based in Universal City, California or New York, New York.Job Duties
Under supervision of a senior attorney, negotiate, draft, review and interpret an extensive range of agreements, including but not limited to: composer, recording talent and producer, soundtrack distribution, and license agreements
Assist with research: creating deal summaries, as well as maintaining and otherwise administering day-to-day contractual and operational matters, including:
Data entry
Preparation of letters and memoranda to internal and external clients
Presentations to senior-level management
Provide general advice and support to the business
Generally support the other attorneys and professionals in the department
Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in a professional role requiring strong analytic and organizational skills and careful attention to detail; OR a J.D. from an accredited law school
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including: Outlook Calendar, Contacts, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week
