Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience developing commercial software
- Familiar with the software development lifecycle
- Excellent command of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and practices
- Excellent command of functional programming principles and practices
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Agile software development
- Understanding of asynchronous (multi-threaded) programming
- Proficiency with Python 3.x
- Proficiency with front-end development using React and Angular
- Familiarity with SQL and data persistence using RDBMS
- Comfort working in Linux
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (understanding of BDD a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and dedication to continuous improvement in a team environment
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Growth-minded and open-minded approach
- Experience developing applications with python
- Experience implementing PAAS solutions in Azure, Google Cloud Platform or AWS (Azure a plus)
- Experience or interest in DevOps and CI a strong plus
- Experience with API design techniques and tooling e.g. REST and Swagger
- Experience working as part of a geographically distributed team
