Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking to fill a Payroll Manager position. The Payroll Manager will help meet standards for the financial department necessary for growth and will work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. Regulate system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)
Manage payroll tax audits and liaise with auditors
Help create systems that process payroll account transactions, like salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments
Supervise and coach payroll clerks and assistants
Settle issues and respond to all questions related to payroll
Comply with relevant laws and internal policies
Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Arrange payroll systems and timekeeping
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports Requirements - Experience with various payroll applications
Previous experience with multi-location payroll and taxes
Leadership and organizational skills
5+ years of payroll experience
CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
Strong understanding of compliance
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Past position in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Knowledge of current payroll procedures and related laws
