Description:· This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, justifying, coordinating, and following up on projects that focus on production growth and/or projects that optimize existing production and packaging lines. · This includes developing project costing for budget review and approval, prepare P&ID, layout, production time schedule, technical description, function description, value calculations, and selecting appropriate bids, equipment, vendors, and sub-contractors. · Other responsibilities include ensuring activities and projects are started and completed within the set timetable, maintaining accurate and up to date project files and drawings, and identifying and correcting safety, ergonomic, and operational problems through proper design of equipment. · Other duties include promoting inter-plant communication and providing technical support on an as-needed basis, developing and distributing a monthly progress and project status report, following up with facility team leaders on continuous cost reduction/process improvement ideas, and performing other responsibilities as the need arises. The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical driver and attentive to detail. He or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure. Will demonstrate an inquiring mind and well-developed observational skill. Will demonstrate a sense of responsibility and high professional standard, honesty, integrity, and objectivity.
