Description Are you looking for an excellent opportunity? Robert Half is looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. To be successful in this role and take advantage of the growth potential, you should multitask effectively, manage your time well, and have strong communication and organizational skills. You will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as preparing financial statements, and establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The long-term contract / temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Tulare, California.Key responsibilities
Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner
Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections
Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents
Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing
Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows
Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets
Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management Requirements - Strong familiarity with Financial Statement
Conduct Audits experience preferred
General ledger experience preferred
Full charge bookkeeping experience desired
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
Capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Background in payroll preferred
High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting
