As a Sr Supplier Development Engineer here at Honeywell, you will hold a critical role responsible for driving the optimization and improvement of our organization's supplier base. You will play a pivotal part in enhancing supplier performance, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services. In this role, you will impact our organization by leading and managing the supplier development team, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement and optimize the supply chain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery of high-quality products. In this role, you will have a significant impact on Honeywell by driving the development and delivery of heat exchanger packs that meet customer requirements and industry standards. You will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects and contributing to the growth of our business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier development strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, ensuring the enhancement of supplier performance and capabilities.
Lead and provide mentorship to a team of supplier development engineers and professionals, ensuring their growth and the successful execution of supplier development projects.
Establish and enforce supplier performance standards, conduct regular assessments, and collaborate with suppliers to identify areas of improvement, ensuring quality and reliability.
Drive innovation in supplier processes and product offerings, encouraging continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, transparency, and mutual growth.
Identify and provide resources for supplier capability building, ensuring alignment with the organization's evolving needs and requirements.
Assess and mitigate supplier-related risks, including disruptions, quality issues, and compliance concerns, safeguarding the supply chain.
Seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality.
Lead and manage projects related to heat exchanger packs from initiation to completion.
Drive engineering projects and changes needed to support end items.
Tracking issues in Jira, escalate and drive solutions related to shortages or other manufacturing issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure successful project execution. Monitor project progress and take necessary actions to ensure timely delivery.
Identify and mitigate project risks while acting with urgency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Strong ability to read and analyze engineering drawings, and support questions related to drawing changes.

YOU MUST HAVE
6+ years of experience in supplier development, engineering, or a related leadership role
Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
In-depth knowledge of supplier development strategies, supplier relationship management, and quality control.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.

Strong working SAP knowledge
Working knowledge of change processes, both internal and external
General knowledge of Packs and parts completed in Torrance.
General knowledge of heat exchangers and valves.
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
