Job Title: Receiving SpecialistPay: up to $23Job DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Receiving Specialist to handle inbound shipments and ensure the accuracy of inventory records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying received materials, managing storage, and processing returns. This role requires careful attention to detail and adherence to company standards and procedures.Responsibilities
Receive inbound shipments of products in a timely manner.
Count and verify actual quantities of materials received against bills of lading, packing lists, or other records.
Examine incoming shipments for damaged items, shortages, or overages, and communicate any issues to the department manager.
Move materials from receiving areas to appropriate storage areas and coordinate material storage.
Process returns for incorrect or damaged shipments and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
Log new inventory.
Ensure that receiving functions are completed in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Process and sample raw materials, reagents, and solvents.
Essential Skills
Comfortable lifting up to 30 pounds.
Comfortable using computers to log inventory counts.
Basic math skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous warehouse or inventory control experience is a plus.
