As a Machinist Level II here at Honeywell's Torrance OEM production facility, you will play a vital role in operating and maintaining our machining equipment to produce high-quality parts and components for the aviation industry. Your expertise in machining and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our repair and overhaul operations.You will report directly to our Machining Supervisor and work on-site at our Torrance OEM location.In this role, you will have a direct impact on the efficiency and productivity of our repair and overhaul processes by operating and maintaining our machining equipment to meet the strict quality standards and customer requirements of the aviation industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a solid background and experience in Honeywell Machine shop to move into the role of Machinist Level 2 supporting our Torrance OEM production.The salary range for this position is ($52,600 - $78,800). The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet the stringent quality standards and specifications of the aviation industry
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize repair and overhaul processes
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Practical Work experience, 2+ years, in a machining environment required with recent experience within the last 2 years.
WE VALUE
Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and correct surface plate setups.
Basic understanding of G code
Practical knowledge and experience with all machine shop precision measuring equipment
Able to perform NC machine setups unsupervised (including boring of jaws on lathes)
Able to identify proper tooling and inserts
Responsible for monitoring and adjusting offsets
Ability to interpret basic machinist drawings.
General knowledge of metrology and ability to use calipers and micrometers
Knowledge of basic shop math.
Performs multi-tasks with minimal supervision
Capable of keeping multiple machines efficiently running while monitoring quality.
Work well in a team-oriented environment as well as promotes and encourages teamwork and team building
Ability to Read and write in the English language
Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends
Basic computer skill necessary.
