We are currently accepting resumes for a
Business Analyst in Torrance, CA. The selected candidate will perform the following duties:- Gathers, refines and validates complex business requirements, interdependencies, potential risks and issues- Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions- Assists in the business process design or redesign and documentation as needed- Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to such specifications- Facilitates communication and gains commitment between business units to align solutions with business strategies- Develops complex business cases- Works on multiple projects as a project team member, at times as a project leader- May coach and mentor less experienced staff- Assists with facilitating project governance and corporate priorities- Support for enhancements and projects, as assigned, in the SD and MM area.- Meet with the business to gather and document requirements for system changes.- Perform design analysis for requested changes.- Create and maintain functional specifications.- Develop specifications for configuration changes.- Communicate requirements and specifications to the technical team.- Develop unit, system integration, performance, and user acceptance test plans.- Conduct unit, system integration and performance testing.- Support user acceptance testing.- Create project plans and implementation playbooks. Required Skills and Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.- 10 years of experience in business and systems analysis.- Knowledge and experience in SAP, especially functional knowledge of SD and MM modules.- Skill and experience in writing requirements, design documents, test plans and test scripts.- Ability to document business scenarios from business work flows and system flows.- Exceptional analytical skills.- Strong verbal communication skills.- Experience in implementing SAP projects and enhancements using Agile and Waterfall methodology.- Ability to act as an effective liaison between the business and the technical teams.- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.- In-depth knowledge of business requirement and corporate priorities.- Advanced ability to gather/refine complex business requirements, recommend or make decisions on business requirements/interdependencies.- Advanced ability to develop complex business cases.- Advanced ability to create impact analyses to make recommendations.- Advanced ability to present complex positions and strategies for business decisions, processes and plans.- In-depth knowledge of compliance principles.- In-depth understanding of the business architecture and its relationship to other architectures.- Advanced ability to assess corporate impacts of changes and recommend strategies to senior management. Preferred Skills and Experience:- Knowledge and configuration experience in SAP SD- Knowledge and configuration experience in SAP MM is preferred- Project management skills.- Well written functional design documentation.- Well written and effective test plans and test scripts.- Well written project documentation in PowerPoint slides for management review.- Effective communication with business users.- Effective communication and guidance for the technical team.UNICON International, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
