Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in bookkeeping, preferably in the distribution or manufacturing industry, and possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Process vendor invoices, reconcile purchase orders, and verify pricing and quantities received.

Generate and send customer invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and reconcile accounts receivable balances.

Prepare bank deposits, reconcile bank statements, and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy and availability of funds.

Maintain petty cash fund and reconcile petty cash transactions on a regular basis.

Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Prepare and file sales tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.

Assist with inventory management, including tracking inventory levels, performing periodic physical counts, and reconciling discrepancies.

Provide support to the finance team as needed, including assisting with audits, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in the distribution or manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Peachtree, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes is a plus.
