Overview of the Position: The Engineering Intern may assist both the Product Support Engineering Group (PSE) and/or the Repairs Engineering Group as needed. This role will expose the individual to a wide range of engineering skills in the aviation industry centered around creating/maintaining a TTE (Tool & Test Equipment) Equivalency program as well as developing Engineered Repairs to return aircraft parts to service on time, while ensuring safety and compliance, enhancing reliability, and delivering cost savings to airlines. The Engineering Intern has the responsibility and authority to perform other assigned tasks as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate TTE requisitions with the right information to ensure special tooling and equipment is defined, made (or purchased), and identified successfully.

Write, substantiate, validate TTE Equivalencies. Initiate and update unit ETMLs and Test Data Sheets.

Assist in Design, Development and Manufacture of TTE/CME solutions using mechanical, electrical, and analytical skills.

Draft requisitions for quoting and material orders.

Coordinate and communicate priorities with local production team and Product Support Engineering as needed.

Ensure tooling are appropriately labeled, organized, stored, and accessible in the department. Find lost tooling; prevent duplicates and waste.

Make sure broken or poorly performing tooling is remedied in a timely manner, before it becomes an emergency or a production delay.

Follow status of Quantum steps 13, 19, & 27, update status of tickets/records in Engineering Database

Coordinate consumable material requirements with PSE, Materials dept, and other shops as needed.

Coordinate calibrated items requirements with CAL/QA, PSE, and other shops as needed.

Assist with Corrective Action Requirements as necessary.

Assist in 5S initiatives, and bonding of inactive tooling.

Assist with document storage, filing, linking, cross-associating.

Education / Experience Requirements: Actively in school for an engineering discipline or has completed engineering related courses (preferred). Additionally, this position seeks a good attitude, a willingness to learn and to engage with new material in a team environment.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to understand and calculate figures such as Ratios and percentages, ranges, scales, accuracies, proportions, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Able to measure and calculate fine dimensions using a variety of hand tools.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
