Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team in defining the future. This position will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology support team. Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintains smooth operation of LAN/WAN/VPNs. Proposes solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Creates and ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. Designs network or portion of network that includes selection of hardware and software packages. Plan, manage and implement complex network designs in support of customer requirements Support network teams in project designs to clarify project requirements, provide design solutions, in accordance with standards. Perform troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems. Install and configure Cisco routers, switches and firewalls Interface regularly with customers and manage customer installation timelines and deliverables to help facilitate successful deployments. Provide guidance to team members and provide status metrics to customer and Northrop Grumman management. Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Experience with Cisco routers, switches, IPS/IDS, and firewalls. Ability to design and troubleshoot VPNs. Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support. Work in a team environment with engineering users, other system administrators and computer/facility organizations. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to work after hours, and weekends, as needed. ESCSO ESNetAdmin This position may filled at a higher level based on the qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications for Level 3: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of experience; 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Active Top Secret security clearance Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to special programs as a condition of continued employment DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one prior to start date Experience with routers, switches, hubs, or other related networking equipment Experience performing network risk analysis, modeling, and back-up administration functions Basic Qualifications for Level 4: Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience OR Master's degree and 7 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 11 years of experience; 13 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Active Top Secret security clearance Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to special programs as a condition of continued employment DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one prior to start date Experience with routers, switches, hubs, or other related networking equipment Experience performing network risk analysis, modeling, and back-up administration functions Preferred Qualifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP Certifications Experience with Palo Alto IDS/IPS Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
