The Wireless Technologies team gathers world class expertise and talent in RF, Antenna, DVT, Wireless Systems and Firmware and owns the definition, development and validation of every wireless interface across the whole Facebook Reality Labs product portfolio.
We are looking for a Cellular Firmware Lead in our Cellular FW/SW team that will work as a group of professionals covering the integration of cellular stack (4G/5G) from third party vendors in our Facebook Reality Labs product portfolio.- Responsible for driving the integration and customization of third party Cellular FW/SW (up to and including vendor Telephony/RIL or equivalent) across Facebook Reality Labs
- Support RF and Wireless Systems teams on low level driver integration, configuration and customization
- Support Wireless DVT and Certification teams on unit and system testing and automation of the different Cellular FW/SW deliverables
- Actively drive teams on analysis & debugging of issues arising out of various system, field, conformance and operator certification campaigns
- Support the different SW and OS product teams on the integration of the Cellular stack (including vendor Telephony/RIL) with the Telephony Services
- Support the product architecture discussions on all the matters related to cellular stack features and requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing and/or integrating cellular modem FW on scale products
- Experience with C/C or similar
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience working closely with third party modem vendors
- 5+ years of experience working closely with telecom carriers on cellular certification
- Knowledge of Android Telephony and RIL implementations
- Strong embedded systems experience, working with RTOS or bare metal implementations in MCUs and/or DSPs
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
