Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in program management.

Experience in leading technically intricate engineering projects.

Experience with systems architecture and design.

Experience communicating technical requirements and concepts with engineers and technical teams.

Preferred qualifications:

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Experience in leading complex operational and strategic initiatives, and interacting with Business Leads, Engineers, or Product Managers.

Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.

Excellent collaboration, executive communications, information gathering, and strategic decision making skills, with the ability to influence others without authority.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Manage complex programs by providing program management during concept, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation launch phases.

Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Development teams to prioritize and scope work for the portfolio of products/projects.

Manage the software development lifecycle, developing project plans and ensuring on-time delivery (including risk management and change management on projects).

Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes. Bring visibility and strengthen communication across the teams.

Engage with Engineering and Product leaders and other Technical Program Management groups, to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage objectives and key results, develop success and engagement metrics, bring tooling for efficiencies, and help the teams you are engaged with in execution.
