Sr. Data Engineer client in

Sunnyvale, CA. This is a

contract position.

Education and Experience »

Experience in Scala, Python & Cloud
3+ years of solid Java
2+ years of experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions big data solution in Hadoop using Hive, Spark, Drill, Impala, HBase
5+ years of experience in computer programming, software development or related.
Experience working with cloud solutions preferably Azure or Google Cloud Platform
3+ years of solid Java and REST experience
2+ years of experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions big data solution in Hadoop using Hive, Spark, HBase

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

Strong programming experience in Scala, Python & Cloud
Great numerical and analytical skills
Hands-on experience with SQL database design

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and implements Hadoop eco-system-based applications to support business requirements.
Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.
Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
