Description A local Robotics company seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant consultant to join their team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing our accounting operations while actively engaging in day-to-day financial activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in accounting, and a strategic mindset to drive financial excellence within the organization. This role is remote.

Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of reconciliations and journal entries.

Review and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure proper classification and accuracy.

Prepare and review complex journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments as necessary.

Develop and maintain robust documentation and procedures for month-end close activities to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development and growth.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, and Management, to provide insights and analysis on financial performance.

Assist with the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Stay current with accounting regulations and industry best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimization.

Support external audit activities by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.

Manufacturing industry experience required.

5+ years of progressive experience in accounting.

Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with NetSuite needed.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
