Position: Lab Power Measurement Engineer Location: On-site in Sunnyvale, CAPay rate: $70-85/hour Duration: 12 month contract (W2) DESCRIPTIONIn this role, you will be responsible for measuring and analyzing power consumption of daily use cases on our SoCs and Systems. You will provide performance/power/thermal measurement data after post-processing with Python or script programming language. The ideal candidate is a person with demonstrated experience with advanced SoCs, capable of quickly measuring, characterizing and analyzing power and thermal measurement data by setting up lab equipment for board-level power measurement. A qualified candidate will work with AR architects and SW/FW engineers.RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with firmware and software engineers to setup and configure power measurement with lab equipment and profiling tools

Perform board-level power measurement of SoC device while running various workload

Debug power measurement lab data, identify sources of measurement errors and take steps in removing them

Post-process the measured data by using Python or scripting language

Provide status briefings for review as well as documentation

Collaborate in a team environment across engineering disciplines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Experience in electrical, systems or computer engineering with 5+ years of experience of board-level power measurement

Experience with lab equipment for data acquisition, debug probe, data post-processing with profiling tools.

Experience in power measurement for SoC silicon with benchtop equipment

Experience working with Python and scripting language

Experience working with adb commands with Android and Linux kernel

Experience working with SoC silicon

Familiarly with PCB schematic and layout

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience decomposing various software and system workloads to assess system resource utilization and analyze performance/power/thermal

Experience with consumer electronics power management design & characterization, hands on experience with power tree / power delivery network is a plus

Experience with electrical components power characterization, e.g. processor, DSP, camera subsystem, display subsystem, sensor subsystem etc

Working knowledge of Android and Linux Kernel Power Management frameworks

Experience analyzing power vs. thermal behavior on SoC

Familiarly in mobile SoC architecture
