Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and proactive Facilities Assistant in Sunnyvale, California. As a part of our team, you will play an instrumental role in the efficient management of our facilities, ensuring a safe, organized, and well-maintained work environment.Responsibilities: Oversee the organization and coordination of repairs and maintenance for the building to ensure a safe and functional workspace. Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring high-quality services such as cleaning, landscaping, and security. Ensure adherence to safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and plan for emergencies to guarantee a safe work environment. Manage office space effectively, coordinating moves and changes as required. Oversee inventory management, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment. Implement and maintain security measures, responding to incidents promptly and effectively. Help manage the facilities budget, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities. Act as a point of contact for facility-related issues, coordinating with various departments as needed. Requirements Demonstrable experience as a Facilities Assistant or similar role Proficiency in facilities management and planning Experience coordinating facilities tasks and ensuring timely completion Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a facilities context Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues Flexibility to respond to facility emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications High school diploma or equivalent; further training in facilities management or relevant field will be a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
