(i.e. C2C is not an option)Red Oak Technology is seeking a DevOps Engineer for our high tech giant client located in Sunnyvale, CA for a Contract position. NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work within a commutable distance of your assigned Worksite Location.Responsibilities:- Develops and maintains the database environment including definition and structure, access strategies, data dictionary, schemas, views, and hardware utilization.
- Create infrastructure as code for deployment and configuration using Chef/Puppet/Ansible
- Supports databases and applications. Provides support related to database upgrades,
- SQL database queries, exports/imports and database errors.
- Deploying application stacks to AWS cloud
- Develop and implement cloud deployment strategies
- Automate the provisioning and hosting of relational and non-relational database system such as NoSQL server, Oracle, Redis, Postgres
- Development the automation of database provisioning life cycle from end-to-end (infrastructure automation, configuration automation etc)
- Implement and develop TDD, SDD driven CI/CD automation models
- Build solutions & pipelines
- Implement CI/CD lifecycle automation
- 5+ years of DevOps experience (source, branch, build, deploy)
- 3 + years direct experience implementing full DevSecOPS CI/CD solutions
- 3 + years of proven experience in software development and operations in Python
- Relational databases experience is a plus (Oracle Databases and NoSQL-Cassandra )
- Containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
- DevOps in the cloud (AWS)
- Build tools (Jenkins)
- Deployment & configuration tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Terraform development experience in infrastructure provisioning tools and practice
