We are currently seeking for an industrial forklift operator in our Lathrop, CA facility. You must have excellent coordination of depth and spaces surrounding every movement as empty containers move from one place to another. The ideal candidate must have prior experience operating a Reach Stacker with a heightened sense of safety. To achieve maximum efficiency taking all safety precautions, you must be able to utilize a tablet and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate container forklifts and other heavy machinery to load and unload containers from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Secure containers using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
Follow established procedures for container handling and storage to maintain organization and efficiency in the facility
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate container movements and prioritize tasks.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas, including removing debris and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of container handling operations.
Assist with other duties as needed, including general warehouse tasks and inventory management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification.
Proven experience operating container forklifts or similar heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics setting.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols for operating heavy equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Environmental Job Conditions:
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan containers, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Continuously requires lifting objects up to 40 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 40 pounds with assistance. Usually in a comfortable environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
