Dispatching 20-25 OTR Truck Drivers
Hours: M-F 6am-4pm as needed (45-55 hours week)
Computer proficient (Email, Word, Excel)
Requires excellent organizational skills
Requires excellent communicative skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and internal
teams via phone and/or email as required to manage and prioritize appointments and deliveries
Manage drivers and productivity
Relay work orders, route scheduling (and rescheduling) to drivers and assist with their inquiries
Prepare and update the internal dispatch sheet and board and make sure that all changes are preapproved
by management and communicated to all shipper/receivers by email
Track driver's location, HOS, and daily mileage to ensure appointments are met timely
Proactively identify and address any challenges that may impact driver timeliness or schedule
Requires extensive knowledge of HOS regulations
Secure routine backhauls with company approved vendor, meeting per mile, location and timing requirements
Oversee all load clearance procedures via email
Immediately report detention, OOS and vehicle issues
Minimal 5 years of logistics planning experience required with 53' van services.
