Journeyman Electrician
MBF Electric is looking for skilled and experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform residential service upgrades and main panel upgrades (MPU).
- Execute a variety of electrical service work, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Manage both short- and long-term projects, ensuring quality and compliance with electrical codes.
- Respond to emergency service calls as required.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and reports.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician (California or equivalent certification).
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean DMV report.
- Reliable transportation and availability for unscheduled overtime.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use company operational software via mobile applications.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Dressed professionally and maintaining proper hygiene standards.
Preferred: Experience in managing both residential and commercial electrical projects.
Supervisory Controls: Journeyman Electricians will report directly to the project manager, construction manager and site superintendents.
Evaluation Factors: Journeyman Electricians will be primarily evaluated based on their ability to successfully complete electrical work on time and to
the standards expected in the relevant electrical code.
Pay Scale: Journeyman compensation will be based on qualifications, currently estimated between $45-$50/hour.

- Approximately 8-hour shifts with flexible hours depending on scheduled projects.
