Job Title: Aggregate Plant Mechanic

Job Description:
Plant Mechanic will be responsible for keeping the CMAT Mobile fleet of equipment up to date with oil changes, maintenance, servicing and repairs: Wash Plant, Excavator, Dozer, Loaders, Bobcat, Generator, Aggregate Crushers and Wash Plant.
Outline of Duties and Responsibilities
The following is meant to provide a general overview of the essential job functions of the Plant Mechanic position and is not necessarily a complete and exhaustive list. Your duties for this position will include:
Maintain daily logs and all documentation for equipment servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Perform oil changes, maintenance and routine inspections on all equipment: crushers, screen plants, aggregate equipment, conveyers, control systems, electrical systems, heavy equipment, dozers, excavators, bobcats, backhoes, water trucks.
Monitor lubrication and diesel levels: Order as needed.
Welding
Complete work orders for all duties performed, turning in each day.
Maintain an excellent attendance record and an excellent safety and work quality record.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing. reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying and climbing).
Working 2 Saturdays a month required
Proficient welder
MSHA will be required
Must be flexible to work any shift and/or to adjust shift when necessary.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three to five years, or more- Plant Mechanic, Deisel Mechanic, Aggregate Experience
(Preferred)
Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, instructions, signs, signals, and safety training.
Able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
Bilingual/ Spanish (Desirable)
