Job Title: Haas CNC Lathe Setup & Operate Machinist
Full-Time, Permanent, Long-Term Position, Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Compensation: $30-$39 per hour DOE
We are a growing high tech contract machine shop in the Stockton, supporting the Semiconductor and Petroleum industry, among others. We utilize HAAS equipment to manufacture high tolerance metal and plastic parts for our customers.
We are looking for a HAAS CNC LATHE SETUP & OPERATE MACHINIST. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to operate HAAS CNC LATHE equipment with minimal support.

Job Description: As a Setup machinist, your responsibility will be to take an MWO (manufacturing work order) with programs, and setup/run the production using HAAS LATHE equipment. You will be responsible for reviewing drawings, setting up tooling and work holding, running the programs, deburring, and In Process QC. Ensuring that your daily workload is completed, and done so accurately, communicating with the Management Team effectively if a roadblock arises. You are expected to have enough experience to be able to troubleshoot typical production issues for your part, experience in HAAS CNC LATHE machines, reading drawings and interpreting GD&T will be essential.

Ability to Setup and Operate HAAS CNC LATHE equipment
Ability to identify general lathe tooling and inserts
Ability to follow established company procedures
Ability to read G code
Ability to change a chuck to a collet
Ability to using precision measuring instruments
Ability to use a computer
Strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong problem-solving mindset
Continuous improvement mindset
Can lift up to 40lbs regularly and up to 75lbs occasionally
Bonus Points:
Experience with programming the lathe with Gibbs Cam, or Solidcam.
Experience running Haas CNC Milling Center.
Experience to SETUP & RUN HAAS VF mills.
Experience with SolidWorks.
Experience with 5 axis CMM with Verisurf software.
Previous Experience:
Minimum experience operating HAAS CNC Equipment - 5 years
Minimum experience setting up HAAS CNC Equipment - 5 years
