Our office administers Stanford's housing programs that provide eligible faculty and executive staff with favorable loans, lower cost ownership options, and eligible Stanford affiliates with convenient rental apartments and homes at reduced rents.

Home Ownership FSH offers assistance to eligible faculty, staff and clinician educators with loans and programs designed to make home ownership more affordable, support to determine how much of a house you can afford, and homes for sale.

Rental Housing Stanford has over 1,000 rental housing apartments and homes in multiple communities within an easy walk, bike ride, or short train ride to campus. These apartments and homes are available to eligible Stanford affiliates at lower rents than what an equivalent home would cost in the regular marketplace.

Resources for Homeowners If you own a home on Stanford land, FSH can advise you if you need to sell your home or make a physical improvement to it.

Position Summary:Stanford University- Faculty Staff Housing (FSH) seeks an experienced real estate asset professional with a background in property management who can: perform For Sale By Owner real estate transactions and property management duties under minimal supervision to help administer and support FSH programs and functions. Complete finance functions and/or activities requiring knowledge and application of industry practices, internal policies, external regulations, precedents, and systems.In this role, you will

Assist in the preparation of Homes for Sale collateral.

Answer questions and tour prospective buyers of available properties.

Provide exceptional client service during the home orientation period with homebuyers and external property management or warranty company.

Assist with home warranty programs.

Educate homeowners on rental and sales web listings.

Approve all web listings.

Confirm the asset acquisition/disposition is properly entered into the FSH database system.

Work with homeowners to resolve lease issues at lowest level possible.

Assist with lease compliance by reporting and tracking leaseholder compliance issues

Monitor and correspond with, homeowners, who become out of compliance with FSH programs, building regulations, etc. Escalate issues as necessary.

Review and process annual property tax statements, supplemental taxes, and refunds for University owned properties.

Provide home improvement process information.

Review and approve small scale home improvement applications.

Conduct site visits to evaluate progress and post notices of non-responsibility.

Update, process, and file all documentation, including maps and plans, related to the requirements and process of home improvement project approval.

Monitor and manage external property manager regarding the maintenance of university owned properties.

Develop in-depth knowledge of the housing market through market research, surveys, and outreach.

Said knowledge shall include landlord-tenant laws and building permit requirements.

Create and maintain all records, including those recorded by the local municipality.

Provide backup support to Senior Asset Specialists.

Respond timely to email, phone or in person inquires.

To be successful in this role, you will bring- Education / Experience:Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
