Description We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, processing of Liens, and working with the Union. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Financial Records: Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely using accounting software.
Mechanic Lien Law: Ensure adherence to Mechanics Lien Law requirements, including proper documentation and filings, to protect the company's interests in construction projects.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure timely payments and collections.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets as needed.
Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors regarding payments, resolve any billing issues, and maintain good relationships.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience working with Unions would be a plus Experience in the construction is a plus.
