In this vital role you will be dedicated to the discovery, development, and validation of biomarkers in oncology pre-clinical and translational research.Key Responsibilities
Discover, validate, and quantify target engagement and disease stratification biomarker candidates for multiple oncology pipeline projects
Investigate mechanisms of response and resistance to optimize therapeutic strategies
Employ a wide variety of techniques and platforms to develop and transition from pre-clinical biomarker data to support clinical biomarker assay development
Independently design, perform, and analyze laboratory experiments, including troubleshooting, optimization of assays, data collection, interpretation, biostatistical analysis, and presentation
Collaborate with biomarker scientists representing multiple therapeutic areas and work closely with other functional groups
The primary focus of research will be in oncology, with potential involvement in inflammation and cardiometabolic-focused projects as well.

Doctorate degree OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of scientific immuno-oncology experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of scientific immuno-oncology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD and 4 or more years of experience in executing laboratory experiments in industry or academic settings.
Demonstrated track record of critical independent thinking, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong technical skills or expertise in the following areas: high-throughput gene expression, epigenomic, and proteomic analysis, ELISA, Luminex, MSD, multi-color flow cytometry, complex cell-based functional assays, genetic manipulation of cell lines and/or primary cells, western blotting, RNA/DNA isolation, quantitative PCR, cell signaling/biochemistry, high-content imaging technology, and in vivo pre-clinical models of disease
Computational analysis of datasets and use of software such as FlowJo, OMIQ, and PRISM
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to multitask to meet timelines and execute deliverables.
