Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.Major responsibilitiesWork with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations Requirements
Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Prior HR Generalist experience
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Prior full cycle recruiting experience
